Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (student)

Place of work: Varaždin

Your main tasks will be:

​

•    Support deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, including compute for AI/ML
•    Assist with setting up and monitoring distributed workloads and experiment tracking
•    Help manage application deployments using Git workflows and maintain cluster consistency
•    Support configuration and maintenance of automation tools for continuous delivery
•    Contribute to monitoring and alerting by creating dashboards and tracking performance
•    Assist in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
•    Collaborate on Infrastructure-as-Code projects (Terraform, Bicep)
•    Document infrastructure setups, deployment steps, and operational processes

You are the right person for us if you:

​

•    are a student of IT, electrical engineering or other relevant fields
•    have a basic understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or similar)
•    are interested in infrastructure, DevOps or cloud-native technologies
•    have excellent knowledge of English language
•    have a proactive approach to work and strive for continuous learning 
•    prefer teamwork, exchanging knowledge and ideas with other colleagues
•    have strong organizational and problem-solving skills

An additional plus is if you:​

​

•    Have some hands-on experience with Kubernetes and tools like Helm for managing applications
•    Are familiar with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
•    Understand the basics of GitOps or have tried tools like ArgoCD
•    Have used monitoring/alerting tools for container environments
•    Have been exposed to ML workflows or frameworks like MLflow or Ray
•    Have experimented with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, etc.)
•    Have used containers (Docker, containerd) in development or lab environments
•    Know your way around cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure (AKS, ACR, Azure Monitor)
