Join our development team at the forefront of pioneering technologies! We design next generation embedded devices and services that bridge the gap from sensors to IT. As part of our dedicated interdisciplinary team, you will contribute your embedded software expertise to strengthen our market leadership and actively shape the future of sensor and data integration solutions at SICK. 

Your tasks:

•    Develop software of Linux-based embedded devices with heterogeneous architecture 
•    Develop drivers and hardware abstraction services  
•    Develop back-end services and protocols 
•    Implement test procedures to check the functionality and stability of devices 
•    Document and work with version control systems (Git) 
•    Work on the development of the whole device concept within multidisciplinary team 
•    Cross-unit and cross-system collaboration with other agile development teams 

Your profile:

•    University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information technology or similar
•    Experience with Linux, low-level debugging and BSP development 
•    Experience in at least one of the following: Golang, C, C++, bash or some other scripting language
•    Knowledge of real-time systems, high-performance interfaces, and digital designs
•    Familiarity with embedded multi-core systems
•    Fluency in English 
•    Proneness to teamwork, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•    High curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
