As part of our dedicated interdisciplinary team, you will contribute your project management expertise to strengthen our market leadership and actively shape the future of sensor and data integration solutions at SICK.
Your tasks:
• Leading embedded device development projects from idea generation and system concept through development, validation, industrialization, and release
• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers (hardware, software, mechanical, test) to evaluate technical solutions, make trade-off decisions, and manage technical risks
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and with the expected quality while balancing technical innovation, cost, and schedule considerations
• Translating customer requirements into clear technical objectives and development roadmaps
• Driving collaboration between R&D, Product Management, Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure successful product realization
• Identifying technical and organizational obstacles and supporting the team in resolving them efficiently
• Communicating project status, progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders
Your profile:
• University degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in a similar position
• Solid understanding of hardware-software integration (electronics, mechanics, operating systems, software applications)
• Know-how of PLC programming and industrial fieldbuses is beneficial
• Fluency in English
• Proactiveness and hands-on approach to work
• Proneness to teamwork, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• High curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
